Clicking on 'Click to Continue' does nothing
Following completion of the registration form you will be taken to the 'Online Application For Accreditation' page.
Click on 'Click to Continue' to open the application form.
If nothing happens, your web browser is blocking pop-up windows. See here for details on how to disable pop-up blockers.
Saving your application form
You do not have to complete the form in one sitting. After completing the first page of the application form, you can exit and return to finish it later.
Take note of your application number when you exit the form. You may need to quote this if you call the NSW Institute of Teachers about your application.
Casual teachers seeking accreditation
If you are a teacher seeking casual employment, you must still apply for accreditation with the NSW Institute of Teachers.
-
In Section 2 of the application form, tick 'No' at the question 'Have you been offered employment in a school?'. You must select an answer for the application form to continue.
-
Confirm the details in Section 3, then go to Section 4.
I can't get past the first page
Ensure that you have selected both a School Sector and Teacher Accreditation Authority from the drop down lists at the top of the first page (the School field may remain blank). Please also ensure that you have answered the question at Section 2 by ticking 'Yes' or 'No'.
The form cannot find my school
If you answer 'Yes' to the question at Section 2 you need to search for your school in the lookup table (do not try to type in the information). Click on the magnifying glass to the right-hand side of the fields to bring up the search window. Type in the first word of the school and search for this. Select the relevant school and it will add it back into the form. You will not need to add anything further to Section 2, everything will be added automatically.
The form cannot find my qualifications
Please type in your qualifications to Section 4A (and copy to 4C if applicable). Unfortunately we do not currently have all relevant qualifications in the lookup table so if you do a search you may not find the ones you need. Keep everything brief to avoid any problems.
I am getting a 'String or Binary data' error message
If you receive this error message (usually in Sections 4 - 5 of the application form), it means you have entered too much text in one or more of the fields.
Please abbreviate the information as much as possible to proceed, eg. ‘B.Ed’ instead of 'Bachelor of Education'.
I can't access the options in my account
If clicking the options and then 'Continue' in your account does nothing, you may have a pop-up blocker problem.
See here for details on how to disable pop-up blockers.
