Step 1: Make sure the teacher has provided the relevant documentation. If any essential items have not been provided/certified then you will not be able to process their application. See the previous FAQ here for details.
Step 2: Login to your TAA account. Login here.
Step 3: Click on 'TAA Options'
Step 4: Tick the box ‘Determine New Application’. A drop-down list will appear to the right. This lists all the teachers who have completed an online application for accreditation with the Institute and have listed your school/office as their supervising TAA.
Step 5: Select the teacher whose application you wish to process.
Step 6: Click the button marked ‘Continue’ at the bottom of the screen. This should open up a new ‘pop-up’ window containing the teacher’s application. If the application does not appear it is because you have a pop-up blocker (or several) working on your system. Click here to see how to disable pop-up blockers.
Step 7: Once in the teacher’s application, click the '
Yes' boxes down the right hand side of the form to indicate that you have received and authenticated the teacher’s documentation. The essential documents to be provided by the teacher are: proof of identification, proof of change of name (if applicable), proof of qualifications, English Language Test (if applicable), proof of registration in another state or territory (if applicable).
All copies of documentation must be legally certified.
Step 8: At the end of the form click the appropriate box to indicate whether the teacher should receive provisional or conditional accreditation, then follow the instructions to allocate the accreditation number.
Step 9: Print the final decision advice page and sign it.
Step 10: Attach the signed decision advice page to the teacher’s application for accreditation and forward all documents to:
