Teacher Accreditation Authorities (TAAs)

• You are an approved TAA with the NSW Institute of Teachers. A TAA is a person or body who is authorised to make an accreditation decision. TAAs are generally employing authorities.

Higher Level Teachers - Professional Accomplishment and Professional Leadership  

• You are a teacher interested in applying for accreditation at the Higher Levels. 

Principals

• You are a Principal who has been advised that a member of your staff is proceeding with accreditation at Professional Accomplishment or Professional Leadership.
• You may be monitoring and validating a staff member’s participation in professional development.

Professional Development Delegates

• You are a Professional Development Delegate who needs to monitor and validate the professional development of teachers accredited at Professional Competence.  You will also be able to search for Institute registered professional development.

Note: The PD Delegates that are 'view-only' will only be able to monitor, not validate, the professional development of teachers accredited at Professional Competence.

Referees

• You have been identified as a referee by a candidate who is seeking accreditation at Professional Accomplishment or Professional Leadership. You will be providing substantive comments on the candidate’s demonstration of the Standards at either Professional Accomplishment or Professional Leadership for a specific range of Standards.
