Information for Teacher Accreditation Authorities

A Teacher Accreditation Authority (TAA) is responsible for supervising a teacher’s application for accreditation with the NSW Institute of Teachers. A TAA should only agree to supervise an application for accreditation if they have an intention to employ the person either in an established position or as a casual teacher.

From January 2007 it became the responsibility of TAAs to process a teacher’s online application for accreditation using the TAA accounts provided on this website.

Access to these accounts is for people registered with the Institute as an ‘authorised person’ for a particular TAA. To confirm that you are registered and to receive your username and password, please email: contactus@nswteachers.nsw.edu.au
