How do I complete the online application form?

  1. Register / create a new account.
  2. Following registration, you will need to login using the details you have just created. Follow the onscreen instructions to the Forms A and B (otherwise known as an 'Application for Eligibility'). Click on 'Click to Continue' to open the application form. If nothing happens, your web browser is blocking pop-up windows. See here for details.
  3. Open the application form and select the relevant options in School Sector (top left), and then Teacher Accreditation Authority (top centre). See Accreditation at the Point of Employment for an explanation of these terms.
  4. Complete the application form using the drop-down menus as required.  If you have any problems, see Troubleshooting.
  5. When you have completed the form, print the Declaration/Checklist and Coversheet.
  6. Make a note of the application number on these pages. You will need to quote this as your reference number when registering with the Catholic offices.
  7. Sign the declaration and have it witnessed.
  8. Attach the two printed pages to your supporting documents (see below)
  9. Send everything to us.
  10. We will assess your eligibility for accreditation and provide you with a statement of eligibility.
  11. Please provide that statement to your employer.  Non-government employers (either a local Catholic office or an independent school), will process your application on our behalf. The government employer (DET) will inform us of your approval and we will then accredit you.
