Teacher Education Review Taskforce

Background
Date: 1 May 2003

Following the release of Dr Gregor Ramsey’s review report, Quality Matters in November 2000, the Minister set up a process of consultation to inform the Government’s response to Dr Ramsey’s recommendations.

The then Minister for Education and Training in NSW, the Hon. John Aquilina, made it clear that teacher quality was a priority for the Government. He established a Taskforce, led by Dr Jim McMorrow which reported in October 2001.
