Accreditation - Policies & Manual

Overview

Accreditation attests that a teacher has met the Professional Teaching Standards for one of the key stages. The accreditation decision is made by the Teacher Accreditation Authority (TAA). All accreditation decisions are recorded by the NSW Institute of Teachers.

Accreditation policies and procedures are determined by the Quality Teaching Council.

The buttons on the left provide access to current accreditation policies and requirements, as well as information about accreditation.

The Accreditation Manual is to be used by schools and Teacher Accreditation Authorities when undertaking the accreditation process. The manual is updated regularly as policies are developed or reviewed.
